These terms apply to all website design, development and related services provided by LocalLaunch (operated by Tseng Tzu Che, Singapore). By engaging LocalLaunch for any project, you agree to these terms.
If anything here is unclear, just ask before we start.
1. Services
LocalLaunch provides website design, development and related digital services for businesses in Singapore and beyond.
The specific scope of work, including pages, features, timeline and pricing, will be agreed in writing before any work begins. This is usually done via a proposal, quote or project brief sent over WhatsApp or email.
Work outside the agreed scope is not included unless separately discussed and confirmed. Ongoing updates, content changes and technical support after launch are also not included unless stated in your quote or agreed separately.
2. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes are based on the agreed scope of work at the time of discussion.
If you request additional pages, features, integrations or significant changes to the design direction after the project has started, this may require a revised quote. I will always let you know before doing any extra work that affects the price.
Prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) unless otherwise stated.
3. Payment
For most projects, payment is split as follows:
- 50% deposit: required before work begins
- 50% final payment: due before the website is launched or files are handed over
For smaller or simpler projects (Essential plan), full payment may be requested upfront. This will be stated clearly in your quote.
Work will not begin until the deposit is received. The completed website, domain access, or any transferred files will not be handed over until the final payment is received in full.
Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of your quote.
4. Late Payment
Final payment is due before launch, as set out in the Payment section above.
If final payment is not received within 7 days of the invoice date, I reserve the right to:
- Pause or withhold launch
- Suspend access to staging or preview links
- Apply a late fee of $50 SGD for each 14-day period the payment remains outstanding
A reminder will always be sent before any late fee is applied.
5. Revisions
Each project includes a set number of revision rounds as stated in your quote or plan:
- Essential plan: 1 round of revisions
- Growth plan: 2 rounds of revisions
- Complete plan: discussed per project
A revision round means you review the work, compile your feedback in one go, and I make the changes. Going back and forth with small changes counted separately is not how I work. I prefer to receive consolidated feedback so I can action everything at once.
Revisions beyond what is included may be charged at an hourly or per-item rate, which I will confirm before doing the work.
Revision rounds apply to the design and content of the agreed scope. Requests to change the fundamental direction of the project (e.g., switching to a completely different layout style, adding new pages, or changing the service type) are considered new scope, not revisions.
6. Warranty Period
After launch, I provide a 14-day bug fix period at no charge. This covers issues caused by my own work, broken links, layout errors, and form failures.
This does not cover:
- Changes made by you or a third party after handover
- New feature requests
- Third-party platform issues (hosting, domain, email providers, etc.)
- Content edits
After the 14-day period, fixes are available on request and may be charged at my standard rate.
7. Acceptance and Sign-Off
Before launch, I ask you to confirm everything is correct via WhatsApp or email. A simple "looks good, ready to launch" is sufficient. I keep a record of this confirmation.
Once sign-off is given, any further changes requested before launch count as a new revision round and may be charged.
The 14-day warranty period starts from the launch date, not the sign-off date.
If no response is received within 7 business days and no issues have been raised, I may proceed with launch or treat the project as paused under the Client Responsibilities section.
8. Client Responsibilities
A project can only move as fast as both sides. To keep things on track, I ask that you:
- Provide all content, images, logos, branding and copy within the timeframe agreed at the start of the project
- Respond to design drafts and revision requests within a reasonable time (typically 3–5 business days)
- Have one clear point of contact for feedback and decisions
- Ensure all business claims on the site, licences, certifications, pricing, service areas and similar, are accurate and that you have the right to publish them
Delays caused by late content, slow feedback, or unclear direction from your side may push back the agreed timeline. In these cases, I am not responsible for missing a launch deadline.
If a project is paused for more than 30 days due to no response or no content provided from your side, I may need to reschedule the project and a restart fee may apply.
9. Hosting, Domains and Third-Party Services
Unless otherwise included in your plan, hosting, domain registration and any third-party services (such as email hosting, form tools, booking systems, or analytics platforms) are separate costs billed directly to you or via your own accounts.
I can help you set these up and point you in the right direction, but I am not responsible for:
- Downtime, outages or data loss caused by third-party hosting providers
- Domain registration issues or expiry if managed by you
- Pricing changes made by third-party platforms after the project is complete
If I manage hosting or a domain on your behalf as part of an agreed arrangement, the specific terms will be stated separately in writing. Optional managed care, where I hold the GitHub repository and Vercel hosting on your behalf, is available at $50/month and can be ended at any time with a full transfer to your accounts.
10. Ownership
Once full payment has been received, ownership of the completed website design and all files created specifically for your project is transferred to you. By default, the GitHub repository and Vercel hosting project are also transferred to accounts under your name at handover. If you opt into managed care instead, you still own the work. I hold the technical accounts on your behalf until you request a full transfer or end the managed care arrangement.
Any third-party assets used in the project, such as stock photos, fonts, plugins, or frameworks, remain subject to their own licenses. I will inform you of any such assets used and what their licensing terms allow.
If the project is cancelled before completion and partial payment has been made, ownership of work completed to that point remains with LocalLaunch until outstanding amounts are settled.
11. Portfolio and Marketing Rights
Unless you specifically request otherwise in writing before the project starts, LocalLaunch reserves the right to:
- Display your completed website in the LocalLaunch portfolio, website and social media
- Reference your business name and industry in marketing materials (e.g., "Built for an aircon business in Tampines")
- Use screenshots of the completed site for promotional purposes
If you would prefer your project not to be featured, just let me know before we start and I will respect that.
12. Confidentiality
Any business information, pricing, customer data or operational details you share with me during the project will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any third party.
This does not apply to information that is already publicly available, or information I am required to disclose by law. For how I handle personal data you share when enquiring, see the Privacy Policy.
13. Cancellation
Either party can cancel the project before it is completed.
If you cancel:
- The deposit is non-refundable once work has started
- Any work completed beyond the deposit stage will be billed proportionally based on work done
- Files and access will be handed over only once any outstanding balance is paid
If I cancel (which would only happen in exceptional circumstances):
- I will give you as much notice as possible
- Any work completed will be documented and shared
- Any payment beyond the work completed will be refunded
14. Results and Expectations
A website is one part of how customers find and trust your business. I build sites to make enquiring easy, clear contact options, mobile-friendly layout, and proper Google setup where included in your plan.
I do not guarantee a specific number of enquiries, phone calls, WhatsApp messages, revenue, or Google rankings. Those outcomes depend on many factors outside the build, including how quickly you respond to leads, your reviews and reputation, pricing, competition, seasonality, and whether you run paid advertising.
Search visibility, in particular, takes time. A newly launched site rarely produces meaningful organic traffic within the first few weeks.
15. Limitation of Liability
I will do my best to deliver a reliable, well-built website on time and to the agreed specification.
However, LocalLaunch is not liable for:
- Loss of business, revenue, enquiries or profits resulting from website downtime, errors, or third-party failures
- Damages caused by content, images or materials provided by you that infringe on third-party rights
- Any issues arising after handover from changes made by you or a third party to the website
My total liability in any situation is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific project in question.
16. Intellectual Property
You confirm that any content, images, logos or text you provide to me are either owned by you or that you have the right to use them for the purposes of this project.
If a third party claims that any content you provided infringes their intellectual property rights, I am not responsible for any resulting claims, costs or damages.
17. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be handled under Singapore jurisdiction.
I genuinely hope it never comes to that, in practice, most issues are resolved through a straightforward conversation.
18. Changes to These Terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at locallaunch.sg/terms with the date it was last updated. For ongoing projects, the terms in place at the time the project started will apply.
19. Force Majeure
If a project is delayed due to circumstances outside my reasonable control, illness, family emergencies, platform outages, or natural disasters. I will notify you as soon as possible and provide a revised timeline.
Neither side will be held liable for delays caused directly by the event. The project resumes as soon as reasonably possible, with adjusted deadlines.
This does not affect your right to cancel under the Cancellation section if the delay is significant and unresolvable.

A note on these terms
This document is written to be fair and clear, not to be used as a weapon. My goal is to build websites that work well for your business, these terms just make sure both sides know what to expect so the project runs smoothly.
This is practical guidance for how LocalLaunch works, not formal legal advice. Once you are handling real client payments regularly, it is worth having a Singapore lawyer review these terms.
