Launching a website is not just pressing publish. A good launch means the domain works, contact buttons work, search engines can find the site, and customers do not hit broken pages on day one.

This checklist covers the practical items I would check before launching a small business website in Singapore.

1. Domain and SSL

  • Confirm the domain is owned by your business.
  • Check DNS records point to the right hosting provider.
  • Make sure https works on both www and non-www versions.
  • Record the domain renewal date somewhere you will actually see.

2. Contact paths

Test every enquiry path from a phone, not just a desktop. Tap the phone number, send a WhatsApp message, submit the form, and check where the email lands.

This sounds basic, but broken forms and wrong WhatsApp numbers are more common than they should be.

Set up the right enquiry channels.

3. Content and trust checks

  • Check business name, UEN if shown, phone number, and service areas.
  • Make sure service descriptions are specific and not placeholder copy.
  • Use real photos where possible.
  • Add FAQs for common objections.
  • Remove any pages that are not ready.

4. Basic SEO setup

  • Each page has a clear title and meta description.
  • The homepage says the service and Singapore context clearly.
  • Images have sensible alt text.
  • Google Search Console is connected.
  • The sitemap is submitted after launch.

5. After launch

After launch, check the site again the next day and one week later. Look for indexing issues, form delivery problems, slow pages, or customers asking questions the site should have answered.

A launch is the start of the site doing its job, not the end of the project.

Common questions

How long does a website launch take?

If the domain and content are ready, launch can be quick. DNS changes may still take a few hours to settle, and search indexing takes longer.

What should I do after the site goes live?

Test enquiries, submit the sitemap, monitor Search Console, and start collecting real customer questions for future page improvements.

Want launch handled properly?

Domain setup, contact testing, Search Console, schema, and handover are included in every LocalLaunch project.
